Does Essential Eight apply outside government?

It is increasingly required by enterprise procurement, insurers and regulators in regulated sectors. The firm treats it as a control baseline for most Australian organisations.

Is ISO 27001 worth pursuing?

Where it is a market requirement or a forcing function for a management system, yes. As a substitute for security, no. The firm advises on the difference, including when certification is not yet worth the cost.

Does the firm run incident response?

It prepares incident playbooks and decision rehearsals and advises during live incidents. It does not operate a retainer response desk.
